Privacy

Ready at Home is built to work on your phone with no signal, so almost everything happens on your own device. Here is what that means for your information, in plain English.

  • No accounts, no cookies, no ads.
  • Your household plan, kit dates and settings stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
  • We count visits anonymously, without cookies.

What you type stays on your device

The household plan, meeting points, kit dates, water calculator figures and your appearance setting are saved in your browser's local storage on the device you're using. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. We can't see them, and we can't recover them for you.

To move your plan to another phone, use Save a copy on the Plan page and open the file on the other device. To delete everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app from your home screen.

Content saved for offline use

The app keeps a copy of the handbook, pictures and any PDFs you open on your device, so it works without a connection. This is ordinary browser storage, used only to show you the pages. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Visit counts

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It records things like the page visited, the site you came from, your country, and the type of device and browser, and it can't follow you across other websites.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, its servers handle the technical details needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, for security and to keep the service running.

Tips

If you choose to leave a tip, you'll be taken to a payment page run by Stripe. Stripe processes the payment on its own page, and Stripe's privacy policy applies. We never see your card details.

Other websites

The offline library, maps and digital prep pages link to other sites (for example Kiwix, Organic Maps and Project Gutenberg) so you can download their material directly. Those sites have their own privacy policies. The app's PDF viewer loads a small open-source library (pdf.js) from cdnjs, a public code service run by Cloudflare, the first time you use it.
